So looking for a week somewhere with sun and sea (or a pool) preferably somewhere quiet. Had a look at thomson holidays but not sure where else to look? ta

I was going to recommend http://www.independent-traveller.co.uk/

I went to Catalunya with them 10 years ago. was on a beach in Roses when the World Trade Centre was hit.

but it seems they only do USA now. if it's the same company, which it probably isn't

shameless plug i know, and can't guarantee sun, but sea yes and lots of it...

If you see something you fancy on Thomson's website - jot down the details and go into the shop

We were about to book 6 of us for next Christmas in Lanzarote online for ~4K
In the shop they managed to get it down to £3K

Oh, my favourite quiet place for just me and the missus is Halkidiki in Greece, have a look at it, it's stunning
