In the spirit of the  https://singletrackmag.com/forum/topic/wheres-this-cairn/  thread, can anyone tell me where this is?

Edit: a mate sent me the pic.  I'm assuming it's in southern England somewhere but really have no idea.

Pah. Unimpressed by the usually infallible STW font of knowledge.  I should have offered a prize.

The only clue I have, if it even is a clue, is he took some kids on a school trip over to the UK (London/Kent) a couple of weeks ago.  Unfortunately, there's no exif data on the pic, so not sure it's from then.

I thought it might be the tree on this programme I watched awhile back but not so sure now.

Can't you trace the image through Google and it may tell you what you need to know.I   tried to and it came back with a match to  🙂

That's why I posted it, but alas, and it's no fault of the hive, I was a bit hasty in my assumption of an English oak.  Its actually in Navarra ; my mate sent me it as it looks like it *should* be in the UK.  Soz 😳

So on that anticlimactic note, feel free to post your mystery trees here...

Could well be. They certainly need to raise awareness of the tree as I've ridden past it half a dozen times and had no idea it was there.

That's because trees can't type. Their internet browsing is all done with the mouse.

Sorry I couldn't make acorny pun

Any EXIF data in the original image? If it was taken on a phone (or GPS enabled camera) you could have coordinates (or ask your friend).

- EDIT -

No location EXIF in the online image sadly.

Now pardon me if I'm being a touch brash, but the forum has been a bit rotten since they spruced it up.
