Just bought a very cheap Android tablet for rogg Jr's birthday - where does everyone get their films from? The options seem to be Google Play (expensive), ripped and de-DRM'd DVDs (complicated), teh torrents (not a good example for a 9 year old) or...what?
Thanks!

A netflix sub will cost you £6 per month. No good without a wifi connection though.

Edit. beat me to it.

Some from my Humax box ( with network adapter and Twonky installed )

Some from ripped DVDs ( I have several hundred to choose from at home )

I have, but not for much longer, a Netflix account - it seems rather underwhelming in terms of selection.

The future Mrs rogg gave up on Netflix for her kids because the selection wasn't that great.
Not sure exposing a nearly 9 year old to pronhub counts as responsible parenting, I'm not claiming to be an expert or anything, it's just a hunch.

However I have got a Humax freesat box, so will investigate a network adaptor and read up on this 'twonky' thing.
Thanks!

Just use torrents, jnr doesn't have to get his hands dirty or know where stuff comes from
