So I desperately want out of the current industry I work in - Electrical Building Services Design/Construction.
Problem is I don't know where to start.
Ideally I'd like to speak to someone who can advise on what transferable skills I have etc. - I seem to have tunnel vision at the moment and can only see my industry as it's all I've done for best part of 25 years......
I also don't have much of an idea of what I want to do - which isn't really helpful.
Having recently returned to work from 8 weeks off with stress/anxiety and depression I think I really need a change - I get zero joy or satisfaction from what I'm doing.
How about sub sea adventurer?
Probably best to have some serious thinking time first around how much can you afford to change, feel like retraining or just moving, where you are in terms of pensions and mortgage etc.
As a basic start try making a list of skills you have that are not industry specific and cross out the ones that cause stress!!
Do you have a circle of friends in different industries? Can always help to see through the tunnel vision.
