Were there biscuits?

I bet Stoner had biscuits. He seems like a biscuit* sort of guy.

*Not Cadbury's Fingers obviously. That'd be a bit insensitive.

You know what, I didn't offer him a biscuit, how rude of me. We've got some Tunnocks wafers in the cupboard as well. Then again, he's obviously the kind of fella who watches what he eats to keep in that kind of shape

I met some at Swinley forest a few months back. Ride arranged by weeksy, who didn't turn up (Musta known I was coming.) I was shamefully unfit compared to them, and it was cold and wet towards the end of the ride.

But yeah, nice fellas, most definitely.

Usually when you meet someone from the internet and they turn out to be a 40 year old man you're disappointed.

I've still not met @kcal. We've a theory that our meeting will signal the end of days, the apocalypse. Given Trump is in the White House, I'm trying to stay as far away from him as I can. We came within a few metres of each other last weekend and that bloody volcano exploded!

I've never met a fellow STW'er.

Camouflage clothing and night vision goggles have seen to that.

I haven't met him, but I have seen him at an event or 2, so it was very nice of Mark to send me an email saying he'd love me to come and join in the fun and games on this website. If I'm not busy, I might just do that.

You say Stoner watches what he eats? Eats what he watches more like. I’d wondered why he was booked in for a full body wax with my beauty therapist yesterday. Didn’t realise he was up for day realease this week.

I helped mcmoonter build a holzhaus.

Given cynic-al a bike frame for a "project".

Built a trail with northwind and ChrisL.

I've met Binners, Grum and a couple of others on a Monday Night Ride.  I totally didn't embarrass myself be being massively unfit and falling off twice.

you utter, utter bastard! I'd have been your friend longtime for a tunnocks.

You were surprisingly better dressed than I imagined, Nettles. Unlike meeting flashy, its always nice to meet a better class of forumite!

Cheers BTW, just got back in. Boy has a job this evening getting those wheels onto his bike.

Once, whilst stood waiting for a steam train at Minehead station, a complete random came up to me and asked if I was Terrahawk from STW. I said yes.

I've met loads off here and to a man they have been a shower of utter ****s. Except for DD, he's lovely.

I've met quite a few. A number are also real life friends who happen to be on here.

I've never disliked one I don't think.

BikeMagic members on the other hand... crikey there were some ****s there (and some great people I'm still friends with now).

Tracey's daughter, who I don't think is even on here, walked up to me and said "Are you that Northwind" Admittedly I was wearing a fluffy bunny suit so probably quite easy to ID.

I have met quite a few STWers, and been impressed by all of them. As for perchy, I haven't met him, but let's just say that his camo and night vision goggles aren't as effective as he thinks they are.

That was a wet ride (with one particularly fit individual)!  As a group we also managed to tick many of the STW cliche boxes (as well as a being seeming pleasant and sane individuals).  I did forget to properly interrogate over your encyclopaedic musical knowledge though DezB

Apart from the norvern monkey collective:

WCA - Boris Johnson's incredibly nice brother. The one they don't talk about.......

We nearly met Cinnamon Girl but couldn't get to the church on time.

The Merseysiders/Wools are all lovely.

Never met Ambrose, but would like to. Man drove well over 50 miles to rescue a family heirloom from Brechfa car park. Absolutely top bloke.

Rode past Flashy's pad and have met both  Molgrips and his car.

Cougar helped me with an IT issue once. Over the phone, but it still counts; smashing chap.

I’m not very IT literate so I didn’t realise that the key to the fix was dancing around in my pants in front of the webcam... works well now, thank you. I have noticed that the little blue light by the camera keeps flashing in the evening, but apparently this is to do with receiving updates...

I couldn't even start to list all the STWers I've met; as a rider in Edinburgh, as one of mlehworld, as a bike shop employee, at SITS, on Tons D&G weekend, BB200-2016, fatbike meetings, occasional tour guide in Aviemore and a shoulder to cry on for the lonely Grum 😉

I have met Ambrose, Houns, Idlejon, Middleagedmadness, Toofarwest, Flumewelck and a few others off the back of my thread last year and on the Cwm Rhaeadr ride last October. All really nice people.

Would love to meet Junkyard to say thankyou properly, and would love to meet a whole bunch more for what everyone did. If i name everyone i will be here all day.

There have been two or three over the years. Used to hang a black jersey with white singletrack lettering up in the window of the bunkhouse of STW weekends we used to have a few years ago. Still wear it but it seems to have shrunk around the belly...

I might have unwittingly met Cinnamon Girl once if she was helping out in Imber church when it was open in summer 2016.

Just had a nice cup of tea with Stoner

He's normally on the port by then 🙂 I knew Mark (Stoner) before STW.  And a few more from BM on what became known as the 'covent garden massacre' which ended with me on a night train to brighton with no shoes. Considering I was living in Basingtoke at the time and had left the house fully clothed probably tells you everything you need to know about that evening.

I've met a few since. All seemed to be mostly functional humans. Careful use of the word 'mostly' there 🙂

I've met more than a few.

Some are even real life, honest and truthful friends....

Sadly I've been outed at random on the trail, usually id'd by the kids, including out in the Alps...

Always awkward doing the 'are you nibblybum* from STW?'...
