Needed a cheap auto to use whilst getting over my imminent left acl reconstruction until I can get back on the motorbike. Found a cheap Rover 75 diesel with 12 months mot. Ideal I can use it for 6 months then flog it with some mot. Problem is after 200 miles I think I have fallen in love with luxary pootling!
I had a similar issue with a £160 Jaguar XJ6 (that "only" cost £120 to fill with fuel 10 minutes after picking it up). Bought to allow me to drive after knee surgery, but the crippling fuel bills and rotten firewall finally convinced me to get shot. Was amazing to drive compared to the unbelievably dull £400 1990 Toyota Corrolla that finally replaced it 6 months later.
Felt a bit cheeky sticking a muddy mountainbike on the leather rear seat.
Luxuary - compared to your motorbike maybe ?
Luxury in this context means it has a roof I think.
I have donned my string backed leather driving gloves and am about to flounce...
Know the feeling.
Went for a cheap 5 series E39 sport full leather 3.0 litre mint, fsh and 80k after my old banger went bang.
Was going to sell it and after a test drive of new 3 series, came home with the old 5.
I hate the colour but enjoy the comfort and 0-60 under 7 seconds.
Ok mpg 35 if you're lucky but a price to pay for sofa drive lol
Thereby proving that beauty truly is in the eye of the beholder.
You've discovered your inner Partridge! Enjoy!...
This was put on my facebook page and seems more appropriate!
