Being advertised for start of November on Quest. As it's based back here rather than in 'Murica does this mean the duo have reformed, if so then i'm very happy ;0)

No, that bloke Ant is still innit in it.

They do this occasionally, a series or two over there and then a series or two back here.

TBH the last series was pants.

I’m hoping for some variety this series because if not I ain’t watching any more of em’

I always liked the ones with Edd in, slightly less so when they moved over the pond. However the new ones gloss over an awful lot of doing things and seem to have a massive budget each episode compared to the original premise.

I do like car SOS as an alternative even if there is a fair bit of scripted jinks in it.

Get Fuzz Townsend and the Big Man to do a show together, now that would be great.

Mike Brewer and Tim whatsisname are just deadweight.

Edd's made it very clear that he'll never work with Brewer again.

"Brewer is a shiny-faced, fibbing ex car dealer who is reminiscent of a honey glazed hog roast"

I can't link to the website that this quote came from as the address includes a very bad word. But it made me laugh quite a lot.

It’s a shame that the current show format has changed so dramatically. I really enjoy wheeler dealers, in its old format. Agree a Fuzz Townsend and Ed’s China show would be epically brilliant.

Has it really changed? Okay so it's been a bit Americanised, a bit more play acting for the camera but it's still the same buy a car, do it up and sell it show that it ever was.

Loved Ed China; the other guy just reminds me of David Brent.
Yeah?

Yes it has, there is an almost removal of the proper technical side of the work carried out. Ed went well to explain things, how the worked and solving problems not to mention localised body work technicques. Now it’s all blue peter..here is one I did earlier. Not to mention mike getting his hands dirty.

Apparently the fact the new producers wanted to do loads of product placement was another reason for Ed's departure.
A man of integrity can't last long in the world of tv.

Watched the Citroën H van WD last weekend. Was hoping to see how they dealt with the surface rusty body (blasted, dipped, some other kind of treatment etc) but it just vanished and reappeared perfect. The main mechanical bit was just bolting in a Transit engine using a comprehensive kit.

Anyone watched Lazyboy garage yet? They just seem to bring in oddball cars from Europe, badly "restore" them and sell on for way less than they originally paid. Would at least be useful if they explained ways of shipping them back, sorting out registration issues etc.

yeah but wasn't the Citroen H van done under the old Edd regime so therefore whilst valid comment doesn't really relate to the 'new' series/revamped format without Edd that is coming in for all the stick?

It's TV folks, not real life.

I thibk Lazy Boy Garage pick some decent cars but the auction format lets them down. The Jetta was cool and should have made a lot more.
