I started a Chat with a contact and would now like to include another contact in the discussion. I can't see anyway to add a contact so that they can take full part in the discussion.
Can it be done, and how?

Thought of that, but this is just a one off event.
I'm not that up on it, but this is how I'd get round it.
If an admin can't add a random number, then I guess admin can just create them as a new contact in their Contacts and add them. Group Info - add participants. Or alternatively make the person who wants to add a friend, an Admin, so they can add the friend from their contacts list.
Thanks, but I've looked at a group and it will only allow new chats. I want the existing chat to be opened up to a new contact. A group would have been fine at the outset, but sometimes life goes in unexpected directions!
Not possible unfortunately. You need to start a group.
Even if it was a group already, new members can't see posts from before they were added. So if you what you wanted was possible, whats the point.
Just start a new chat and repost/forward the stuff from the other chat.

PIA question, I know, but how do I do that?
You can export the chat, top right in the chat settings. Then I guess forward that to the new recipient.
Otherwise, press and hold pertinent sections of text to bring up forwarding option. Then forward it to new chat.
