Okay, who has taken your fancy music wise lately?

My top 5 most played this month are:

The Dismemberment Plan
Charles Avison

Currently going through a Scandi-Rock hair metal extravaganza on spotify including the hilariously camp Reckless Love, the mighty, mighty Backyard Babies, and the big haired rockiness that is CrashDiet.
I've recently discovered Alice In Chains. I have no idea where I've been for the last 20+ years
A few that come immediately to mind:
As a diversion from my usual, I'm enjoying
Viet Cong
In my usual vein
Antonionian's War EP (just released on Anticon)
Hunter/Game
Currently listening to a funk compilation featuring the marvellous Betty Harris though.
Liking "the Reads" after hearing this on the Jeremy Vine argument show a few weeks ago.

Check out 'Supershitty to the Max' by The Hellacopters. Dregen from the Backyard Babies and Nicke Royale from Entombed doing dirty garage rock. The albums get more Stones than Stooges as they go on but the first 3 are damn good.
Todays music was brought to seadog by the letter 'L'!
Low
Lykke Li
La Roux
The Lumineers
Local Native
and for phonetic reasons...
Elbow
Low! Yessir lot of time for Low, the documentary 'You May Need a Murderer' is one of my favourite music related films along with 'We Jam Econo' about the Minutemen.
Awesome version:
Have you seen the 'Drone not Drones' site? They've done a couple of gigs now, 28 hours of continuous music from droney artists it's brilliantly crazy.
The Wytches
The Pre-New
Amazing Snakeheads (after a previous recommendation on here)
Public Service Broadcasting
And this weekend I was introduced to The Sleaford Mods, possibly the best/angriest thing I've heard in ages.
Milky Chance
Lumineers
I'm really enjoying down tempo electronica at the moment. I'm currently listening to Synkro's Slumber Session

Lionize supported Clutch on their last tour and I've been listening to them lots:
And Big Business supported Mastodon:
Brambles - Half Gramme Holiday
Gosh, someone else has heard Brambles. New album is due, apparently. *chilllls*
Oh and the new Sleater-Kinney album been getting a lot of plays.
Anyone got a spare ticket for the roundhouse 😥
Between making my own music....
I'm now listening to World's End Girlfriend.
Freaky Japanesey
I love these type of threads, so much music, so little time
My guilty secret is Halestorm
Dope Body - Lifer is doing it for me at the moment
I do have a 'dope' body but I don't think we've met?
Brambles - Half Gramme HolidayGosh, someone else has heard Brambles. New album is due, apparently. *chilllls*
Cheers, I'll keep an ear out for it 🙂
yeah, I thought you must have been drunk 😉
Bloody Chartreuse!
Have struggled with anything remotely new of late; so this week its been The Cramps - Songs the Lord Taught us, havent listend to it for a couple of years but still does the business.
In the car, Dr Feelgood - Malpractice and Killing Joke - BBC sessions and outakes.
Otherwise lots of dub and reggae compilations.
Does having to listen to my daughters One Direction stuff count?
don't get PSB must be a boy thing
Drowning in Lapsley at the minute
Quite like the new Gaz Combes stuff, I'll prob get the album.

Nah just sound like a [s]boring[/s] tweed Basement Jaxx to me
Currently in the headphones is Luke Solomon's Essential Mix. I have caught myself doing that thing where in your mind you are throwing huge shapes, and your head and upper body are swaying with the beat while your feet tap out a rhythm. At the desk in the office. Luckily it's quiet today.

I think you're right.
And a middle aged, geeky thing.

I was introduced to them in a hut, by a juggler.

Why not take an extra moment or two and add a description rather than posting a blind link?
Dizraeli and the Small Gods. Brill 🙂
Death from Above 1979 and their new album 'The Physical world'
Also started listening to early Aphex Twin stuff again

I got frustrated trying to embed the video instead of just the link and couldn't be bothered to type any more after that! 😳
It's taken from the album "Sphere Of Influence" by psytrance producer Goch.
I'm now listening to World's End Girlfriend.
Freaky Japanesey
Thanks for that - tried a bit and it sounds good - I've been listening to Nujabes and similar stuff recently and this seems a good fit with that
so much music, so little time
Exactomondo.
I found myself listening to the same things over and over, loving this thread, so many things to wet the whistle.
Top work boys and girls.
Just stumbled across this album - due out soon.
Not familiar with this label.
Bit of a deep-house / minimal thing going on from the samples, but quite melodic and laid-back. Sounds like a winner. 🙂

My wife seems to like Public Service Broadcasting more than me.
I'll tell her to stop it.
Does 'Thumbs up' to kayak . Good Friday tune 🙂
Currently listening to a couple of new albums that have already been mentioned, by Viet Cong and Sleater-Kinney.
Also a couple of old classics Mogwai - Young Team, Phosphorescent - Muchacho and this Justice mix that was rejected by Fabric (probably beacause it was too awesome):
In no particular order:
Oceansize
Nails
Tears for Fears
Run the Jewels
Glassjaw
Ben Klock
Joe Mull
Alpha Male Tea Party
I'd kill for some downloadable Marco Bailey or Adam Beyer DJ mixes circa 2004/05 if anyone has any. It would make perfect gym music.
I have no idea about this fella, just stumbled apon it whilst mooching around youtube....I like it.
