A few that come immediately to mind:

As a diversion from my usual, I'm enjoying
Viet Cong

In my usual vein
Antonionian's War EP (just released on Anticon)
Hunter/Game

Currently listening to a funk compilation featuring the marvellous Betty Harris though.

Check out 'Supershitty to the Max' by The Hellacopters. Dregen from the Backyard Babies and Nicke Royale from Entombed doing dirty garage rock. The albums get more Stones than Stooges as they go on but the first 3 are damn good.

Low! Yessir lot of time for Low, the documentary 'You May Need a Murderer' is one of my favourite music related films along with 'We Jam Econo' about the Minutemen.

Awesome version:

Have you seen the 'Drone not Drones' site? They've done a couple of gigs now, 28 hours of continuous music from droney artists it's brilliantly crazy.

The Wytches
The Pre-New
Amazing Snakeheads (after a previous recommendation on here)
Public Service Broadcasting

And this weekend I was introduced to The Sleaford Mods, possibly the best/angriest thing I've heard in ages.

I find the most 'new' bands I find are supports at gigs.

Lionize supported Clutch on their last tour and I've been listening to them lots:

And Big Business supported Mastodon:

Have struggled with anything remotely new of late; so this week its been The Cramps - Songs the Lord Taught us, havent listend to it for a couple of years but still does the business.
In the car, Dr Feelgood - Malpractice and Killing Joke - BBC sessions and outakes.
Otherwise lots of dub and reggae compilations.
Does having to listen to my daughters One Direction stuff count?

Currently in the headphones is Luke Solomon's Essential Mix. I have caught myself doing that thing where in your mind you are throwing huge shapes, and your head and upper body are swaying with the beat while your feet tap out a rhythm. At the desk in the office. Luckily it's quiet today.

I got frustrated trying to embed the video instead of just the link and couldn't be bothered to type any more after that! 😳

It's taken from the album "Sphere Of Influence" by psytrance producer Goch.

Thanks for that - tried a bit and it sounds good - I've been listening to Nujabes and similar stuff recently and this seems a good fit with that

Just stumbled across this album - due out soon.
Not familiar with this label.
Bit of a deep-house / minimal thing going on from the samples, but quite melodic and laid-back. Sounds like a winner. 🙂

Currently listening to a couple of new albums that have already been mentioned, by Viet Cong and Sleater-Kinney.

Also a couple of old classics Mogwai - Young Team, Phosphorescent - Muchacho and this Justice mix that was rejected by Fabric (probably beacause it was too awesome):

In no particular order:

Oceansize
Nails
Tears for Fears
Run the Jewels
Glassjaw
Ben Klock
Joe Mull
Alpha Male Tea Party

I'd kill for some downloadable Marco Bailey or Adam Beyer DJ mixes circa 2004/05 if anyone has any. It would make perfect gym music.
