I'm a Beerbods member too and it is ace, less than a pint in the pub, delivered to your door and with the story behind it and some banter on a thursday night discussing on Twitter.

My adopted county of Norfolk now has more breweries than any other county and Norwich styles itself as best town for beer in UK, next village to me has Beeston brewery with the ace "Worth the Wait" a lovely golden ale.

To be fair the price isn't the issue (you can't really compare craft beer prices with real ale) although the selection is a bit "meh" (they seem to do a lot of stuff that is pretty common or can even be bought in supermarkets!).

Agree about RL banter being better though, fortunately I have a great bottle shop which is only a 30s diversion from my cycle commute route! Plus I get to pick which bottle I buy!

Dunno what any of this has to do with local brews though!!

not sure thats fair. I'd say the majority you can't get in the supermarkets, local beer shop maybe. Ocassionly supermarket stuff in there but not loads.

it's a mix of 33/ 500 bottles

I was just going off the three bottles showing on the front page which are all 33cl.
They're the bottles shown below the picture of the middle aged man, sat on the floor alone except for his wood burner and apple product.
Maybe he's browsing STW, maybe he's enjoying the story behind his one solitary ale, for which he has paid in excess of £5 per pint for.
It's hard to tell which as you are distracted by his slightly dishevelled appearance and the sadness that is so obviously hiding behind his eyes.
An Orange Five could so easily be just out of frame, the colour of which matters not.

The boxes are more 330ml than 500ml, but they're also often stronger beers that would be more expensive in a pub anyway. Last week was a 330, but the two before that were 500.

The good news is, nobody is being forced to buy the product/service so everybody doing so is happy with the price. As I understand it, they're currently gaining subscribers at a decent rate, so they're doing something right.

From that beerbods site, next weeks Fyne Ales, Sanda Black IPA were in my Tesco for a bargain £1 a bottle at the weekend along with their Sanda Blonde. Very nice, I bought some of each. This was probably only in Scottish stores.

I'm perfectly happy for people to spend in excess of [b]FIVE WHOLE POUNDS PER PINT[/b] if that's what they want. In fact if people are prepared to pay in excess of [b]FIVE WHOLE POUNDS PER PINT[/b] to sit at home with a single bottle of beer for company then they're even more likely to want to enjoy a pint (or more) of lovingly looked after cask conditioned ale in the beautifully social setting of their local public house for considerably less than [b]FIVE WHOLE POUNDS PER PINT[/b].

Bit of a Mulligan & O'Hare going on in that t-shirt, which I found very distracting.

I thought it unfair to comment on his thinning pate.

My local is Skinners ( http://www.skinnersbrewery.com): I can see the brewery out of my window and when they're brewing you can smell it. Excellent beers and I recommend a mixed case!

I guess proper local would be concrete cow brewery which is ok but not amazing. Best nearest would be Leighton buzzard brewing which are decent.

less than a mile, Wadworth brewery.
Been told there is a few smaller ones about as well.

I've walked home from Camden Town brewery a few times. 🙂
