Popping noise heard.....but still has power clock/turntable and will start and finish it's programme. So not fuse at wall.

But horror the culinary delight has not been nuked !

Is she dead ? is there an internal fuse ?

Your thoughts

Thanks
Rich

microwaves can hold a charge of many thousands of volts even when un plugged, so should not be looked at by mtb riders.

people have died fiddling

'Tis ****ed!

Ours died a year ago and haven't replaced it.

No idea what we used it for now.

That info is a tad too late, flatbak as in true mtb rider fiddling mode. I have now removed the case and found the fuse, 10w 250v Maplins here I come.

Brown sauce is good but was attempting a specialty known as cheesy beans 😛

As Flatback said, MW ovens can hold a leathal electrical charge in a very large capacitor, and have killed some less than careful engineers.
The label on the back about 'qualified personnel' only to service isn't just for fun, also think about the fact that a 10amp fuse is now O/C.............something has caused that, probably the diode or cap,or even the magnetron, for what it would cost to replace these parts it would be more cost effective (and MUCH safer to buy a new one <£20 for a basic microwave)

It will probably cost more to buy the replacement fuse from Maplins than a new Microwave from Asda!

Just buy a new cheapo one, its safer and simpler.

You get microwaves for less then £1.

Its cheaper to buy a new mirowave than to get electrocuted replacing a fuse in an appliance that you have no idea why it blew?

How much does an ambulance call out cost then Drac? Or does your time come free?

If its the magnetron,or the cap, or the diode, then they will all individually cost more than a basic microwave, and that'll neatly sidestep any safety issues.
If its a Panasonic and the inverter has failed, its more cost effective to buy a new microwave full stop.
Buy a new one.................it WON'T be just the fuse.
