We have a little Calor stove (two burners + grill). The last time we used it all was fine, however this week one of the burners isn't working correctly. The gas isn't coming out with a blue flame – it's about 50/50 blue and yellow and it's not a regular pattern around the ring. The outcome of this is that it is sooting up and leaving a mess on pans and on the burner. It does the same thing irrespective of how many burners are being used. Before I start taking it to bits, is there anything I should be looking out for? Thank you.
IT need a prick.
Clean it. Liberal application of brake cleaner to rid the burners of crud (or just use a pick).
Ta - is it feasible to stretch this out to take a few hours in the garage with the music on? 😂
If needed, turn the tunes up ! Just leave it disassembled (and fixed) and fettle the bikes ! Then when needed just screw together.
The gas stove in the caravan did this a couple of years ago.
Just took the top cover off the burner, blast of brake cleaner, quick clean up with a bit of tag and the point of a knife and back together.
Took me longer to find the right bit for the tiny little screws than it did to clean it.

All day job that AFAIK.
Got to test it regularly to make sure
