I know its Chrome and the dreaded Microsoft rather than one of those hipster I:things.....
However, I have an issue with my Chrome whereby pages do not load up correctly, they look like a jumbles up jigsaw......
Why's that then?
You have to pay to unscramble those porn sites.
Its ok DK, they are fine.....
Any suggestions from the lunch time crowd?
Id start with clearing browser data first.
Try Ctrl + F5 to force clear the browser cache, if no joy, run something like Ccleaner.
if still no joy uninstall chrome and reinstall.
Do you get the issue with firefox too?
Screenshot?
My chrome browser is doing that a lot recently.
At least it has stop crashing/hanging dozens of times a night.
I can't get chrome to remember my BBC weather locations/favourites.
At the moment it thinks I am in New York instead of Manchester.

Me too, an utter pita. 😐
Followed the suggestions above and has made no difference, boo. What now please?
Windows 10? I have noticed this on a few sites since upgrading
Windows 10?
Nope, XP & W7 PC's both doing it.
Top of pages look OK but as you scroll down, pictures appear over text.
The latest crazy thing my chrome is doing is loading this site in a teeny strip on the left side of my (mobile) screen.
The other thing is not syncing my desktop bookmarks....
Still, keeps you entertained.... 🙄
Running Vista here, thought my old PC was on its way out. Most of The Indie newspaper is spectacularly unreadable.
Just use Firefox instead then, much better browser.
I've actually switched to Edge on Windows 10, after years of Chrome. Rendering in Edge is as good as Chrome but it's quicker and smoother also. More than that it's the best for touch responsiveness on tablets. Touch on Chrome has always been a bit broken, even on Android.
That said, Edge lacks features at present, but depends what you need. I mainly just need to browse web sites. Could do with an "ad blocker"* though (except on STW because I pay 😛 )
* - forum adjusted the word there, but you can probably guess what it means 😉

Interestingly I find it the other way round, Edge being slow and crashy

look at the extensions your chrome is running?
look in: Settings-More tools-Extensions, and it'll tell you what's enabled. Get rid of anything that looks like it doesn't belong there.
Only extensions are Google ones.
Its also happening on an a 10 year old XP PC & new Android tablet
Bottom left bit with 'Advertisement' - that'll be it probably 😉
Adverts aren't controlled much by the sites and they come in targeted based on cookies on your PC so people see different things to each other. You might be getting some that are broken and are messing up the styles on the page. You could clear your cookies, or try to find those that are ad based and delete those (there are tools for this I think).
That there's no advert there in that space suggests broken ad or that you've got an extension or some other software blocking adverts (which won't go down well with the powers here 😉 . If the latter you could just put up with the ads, or pay up for a subscription to remove them 😛 ).

End of life operating system there! I'd be wary of running it at least because it's likely getting no updates and increasing in vulnerability.
Looks like something's making a pig's ear of hiding adverts, from that.
All Google extensions or no, try it without any extensions at all, see what happens. I think off the top of my head Incognito mode does this (ctrl-shift-N).
have you installed the latest version of chrome ? updates have been issued recently... if you have installed you could try a roll-back ?
XP machine had Chrome installed 3 years ago.
Tablet new this year, Chrome already installed.
Both the above have auto updates switched on.
Work networked machine had Chrome installed in April - updates done by admin.
All signed in and synchronising settings / extensions, presumably?

Noticed that on my Hudl2 , seems to have only started in the last week.
No extensions being used and am up to date with, er, updates. Still the problem persists. 😐
