Had the parakeets for years but as I said they've never landed before. I like them.
That parakeet will be inviting all his friends and relatives along now, you won’t be able to move for them. Worse than pigeons for raiding feeders.
They will have to fight the bloody squirrels off first!
I would hazard that’s a female spotted woodpecker no less. The boys have a red block on the back of their neck, like in Wwaswas’s video link.
