Can any of STW's resident flag experts ID this flag - it's blue with a white cross

[img] [/img]

It seems to be quite prominent today but I can't find it at all to see what it is.

Cheers!

if you mean the black one with the white cross it's the Cornish flag
(Saint Piran's Flag)

It might not be that one you know? On the flotilla today, there were the country flags and then that one. The flag in the photo is not the one I saw on one of the main boats.

Which way does the cross go - like the ones above, or an 'x' shape?

If it's an x, it's Scottish...

I'm guessing that most people won't know whether that was the flag you saw.

Although I was kinda hoping you might.

I've found 1 photo of the actual flag!

Any ideas?

It's the royal barge Gloriana.

So who of you were out celebrating on your bikes then?

As (somewhat soggy) sandwiches and trifles were being polished off at 10,000 street parties from Devon to Dalbeattie, the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh made their entrance at 2pm, when they were greeted by the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall at Chelsea Pier.

Ah,

Is this some elaborate "wow, Scotland was really well represented, look how many flags there wasn't" sort of sarcasm?

Your photo was taken yesterday Stoner, today the royal barge has St Piran's flag. Not a good photo but you can just about see it here (Simone's is better)
