On my old laptop I had a program that I used a couple of times for producing documents. Admittedly with varying results!
I am working on something at the moment and it could be just the tool but I can't remember what it was called!
It has a freeware, open source core and you can get different front ends for it.
It uses a form of html and a text editor to format the document.
Can anyone suggest what the **** I am talking about?
Markdown? Latex?
Latex - That's it. Many thanks.
Latex. There are online editors/backends now:https://www.overleaf.com/
we had to MANUALLY write a report at Uni in Latex. Utterly pointless and from memory a 4-page document took me most of a weekend as it had some mathematical formulae and charts in.
