Is Sugru meant to be super strong?
Wouldn't really call sugru a metal adhesive. I wouldn't call it an adhesive at all.

It's not super strong adhesive. It's a malleable sticky putty for fixing thigns that need to be built up.
Yeah Sugru isn't really an adhesive full stop!
What are you actually wanting to glue?

JB Weld
Sikaflex 512 would do it.
Su Pollard
Chemical metal?
JB weld may be more appropriate. I was recently pointed in the direction of something called milliput for reparing a hole in metal (cast guttering). Seemed to do the job but I've no idea if it will last thought.
Welding?
solder?
Su Perted
We have bonded metal with Belzona
Su Perlative
milliput generally for ceramics but will do for some jobs as a filler

So does phlegm.
But seriously, I've used it in place of adhesive and it's still holding after 3 years. So, technically not an adhesive but a good enough to use as such. Practically speaking (writing?).

It's for attaching/setting a thin rod (probably silver) into the centre of a small metallic cylinder (approx' 8mm diameter).
I was also thinking of some kind or epoxy.
It also needs to be some form of gap filler.
