wifes chromebook has had a good innings, its around 10 years old now and the screen keeps flickering on and off, so shes wanting another now. its tempting to take it to bits and see if i can find a loose connection or somethings, but i think its probably fair to say its time for a new one.
even tho its 10 years old i think the spec is good enough for what she needs, so we're not after anything superdooper, just a value for money jobbie.
what would you recommend?
I bought a nice Asus flip one following recommendations on here, about 3 years ago. It has been perfect, however, I’m now getting notifications that it will not be supported by updates from this July, which is a bit crap. I would have another but would be making sure it was a new model with a long period of update support - I think it goes for around 5 years from first release of the chromebook model.
yes seen that, bit too spendy tho. looks like she'd do just as well with whatevers cheapest actually, mebbes theyre all much of a muchness at the bottom end of the price range.
thanks
I don’t know about current ones but I have an Acer that I don’t use anymore as it’s too slow. I love the concept but it’s frustrating to use.
So yeah, make sure whatever you get is powerful enough or your needs.
