Just looking to get the most money for a ring I brought my ex! I have no idea when it comes to selling second hand jewellery! Any advice would be great.

EBay, without a doubt!
Few years back I was in a similar situation to yourself - went round a few jewellers, getting offered £400/500, which was laughable, but they know you really want shot of it!
I stuck it on eBay for a high BIN and the offers were coming in from people that as far I could tell, were in the trade too; stuck to my guns with my own valuation (knowing what it would sell for) and walked away with £900 in my pocket.
Much less degrading too 🙂
