Old and a bit green table in much need of a spruce up, some people say jetwash on low power others say a good sanding and then some fresh teak oil. Then I read never put teak oil on outdoor furniture - anybody had any easy success? Thanks!

I jetwashed a teak bench then gave it a coat of some Ronseal 'all purpose' something or another (not teak oil) & it came up like new. That was in April & It's still looking good after all the deluges we've had.
Unfortunately I'm struggling to find the same stuff, which had been in the shed for yonks. 😥

Sanding's ok on a flat surface but my bench has loads of slats & is a right faff to sand down even with a tri-base sander.

pledge 5-in1 soapy wood cleaner and a scourer or fine wire wool soaked in the stuff to gently scrub .It leaves no residue and wont raise the grain .Youl be amased how easy it is and how good your furnature looks afterwards .Then danish oil ragged on in several light coats will bring out the features of the grain and laminate the top layer protecting it.Danish oil also works as a primer for other oils / finishes so gives you plenty of options later on rather than having to strip the hole thing in order to apply something else.
Unless its just made from old pallets in which case jet wash it and paint it brown !! 8)
