Yes, fascinating isn't it.

The posh set-up in the back of those Bentleys on the footballer thread would be useless to me...

Where am I going to let my camelbak go mouldy?
Where's the space for several different pairs of bike shoes and helmets?
What about my left climbing boot and what seems like hundreds of empty bottles?
Never mind all the little odds and sods, lights, parts dirty cycling kit. Or the bike.

I imagine there are a fair few clean freaks though...

Unspecified number of valve caps generally rolling around.

The the cubby thingy is the allow wheel key, some ratchet tie down straps, a smallish tool kit, a couple of small things that I don't really know what they are for and probably some food that's spilled out of a bag from a sainsbury's run

When I worked in a garage we would always play guess what's in the boot.
You could always bank on a tartan rug, umbrella and a pair of shoes.
We had one once that was absolutely rammed full of porn.

Front boot has all the important stuff (spare wheel, jack, booster cables, rope, etc...)

Rear boot gets emptied and hoovered every Sunday after biking so currently nothing.

From memory, and I can't be arsed to go look, a large IKEA bag with a Dayglo jacket, blanket, and two large blanket-like sheets for covering up stuff when I carry a bike, a 5ltr bottle of washer solution, bottle of engine oil, and misc. odds and ends lurking in corners. The large bottle of washer liquid is because my car takes 5 litres in its washer bottle.

Which car?

Car1) A Turbo and a catalytic converter. A spare distributor and ECU.

Car2) An angle grinder, a chainsaw massacre mask, assorted papers from work, a spokey, some deoderant, a torch and assorted spare bulbs/wheel nut caps. And an OBDII code reader.

Car 2 often gets blankets, camping stoves and a few other things thrown in in winter in case I get stuck - that way I can true my wheels for days until found.

I don't really classify that as IN the boot though. On one car the wheel is under the boot, outside and the jack lives in it's own little compartment in the rear wing. In the other car the wheel is inside the car and the jack is in the rear wing but neither of which are "in the boot" - they're behind panels that define the extremities of the boot.
