Earlier today Hotmail looked fine, perfectly usable
Just checked it again now and it's some awful dumbed down format
The font is huge, and I'm unable to mark my junk as being read. It also lists the total number of junk emails in that folder and not just the unread ones

It's more than likely Microsoft have simply changed the design.
Use an email client and not a browser if you want consistency.
It now looks like this, and the website address changed from Hotmail to Outlook live

Hotmail is dead, so Microsoft will have forced your account to upgrade to Outlook Live.

Well it's not so bad on the laptop, but on the phone it's awful
You can't see how many unread junk messages there are, you can't select more than one message at a time to move them or mark as read
I'm off to find something else to moan about
