Given your experience of the industry, attendance of trade shows and years of travel for the best MTBing on Earth... what was it that Meatloaf wouldn't do for love, and, would you do it?

Why would you shut a forum down? Industry economics point in exactly the opposite direction. Print is not where the strength/value lies in journalism - look at Top Gear's version (just for STW!)

How many times a week do you look at the forum? Or are you far too busy sipping champagne at bike industry 'receptions' so leave the staff to do that?

In view of the contributions to the Brussels airport thread, could we have TJ, TSY, Don Simon etc. etc. back, please? The STW eco-system is like Yellow Stone when they killed all the wolves - the bears took over as the main deer predator but with a preference for baby deer rather than sick deer.

On a serious note: if you could have a whole magazine issue to cover one aspect of MTBing what would it be?

No idea if this has been asked already or not...

What are the proportions of STW revenue and profit from mag sales (physical/digital split would be interesting), clothing/gifts etc, and forum advertising? Percentages are fine as a answer rather than actual pounds and pence.

You are asked to see a 25-year-old white man who experienced marked weakness and dyspnea 4 days after being admitted for a compound arm fracture after falling from a tree. Estimated blood loss from the initial fracture .......................compatibility tests show no new erythrocyte antibodies in the patient's serum and that, when they attempted to elute antibody from the patient's RBCs and test against normal RBCs, the results were negative. What is the most likely diagnosis?

Frankly, I come here to get a break from work, however, if this is real life then the answer is that the diagnosis is whatever the on call consultant haematologist tells me it is.

How has this job affected your enjoyment of mountain biking?

What's the life expectancy of the the mag specifically and print journalism generally?

Is mtb'ing's lack of diversity the greatest threat to its future viability or is there a greater one?

What is the most likely diagnosis?

I reckon it's just a sticker.

Autoimmune hemolytic anemia?

It's not a question of which diagnosis is most likely (ie what is the most common diagnosis among those asked to diagnose the patient), it's a question of which is the most appropriate diagnosis. And the answer to that question is lupus, because this is real life.

I know this one, Cat Aids (the bad type).

Right, I'm closing the book on this one. You're all wrong. The correct diagnosis is of course....

'You're probably allergic to wheat'

Can you think of 15 questions off the cuff?

What bike did you want when you were 15?

How long until we get 15 speed cassettes?

What's the worst thing you've experienced from a 15 year old?

How much would someone have to pay you to ride a bike with 15mm stanchions down the Fort William DH track?

15 best destinations you've ridden?

15 tastiest beers you've sampled?

Over the last 15 years, what is the craziest forum post you've seen?

15 worst products of all time?

You have 15 days to live, where and what do you ride?

You have £15 to spend... what do you buy?

What would you sacrifice to get a 15lb bike?

15 minute descent... what brakes?

What are the 15 craziest freebies you've been sent to review?

What inspired the ker-azy banter of the last 15 Fresh Goods Fridays?

Just watched the interview video on the site and ,to be honest, it's left me with a number of conflicting emotions.

Firstly - Elation! They picked one of my questions. Yay!
The dumbass one about the pies. Go Me!
As I consider it a personal mission to derail most threads and send them down a bizarre but humourous tangent, I feel a warm glow of satisfaction for a job well done.

....but wait a minute, here comes Greed! They used my question. Do I win a bike or five pounds or something?

They've answered the pie question.
What? Full pastry enclosure? I'm filled with Horror!. I'd always believed that this was an inclusive and welcoming place but instead , it turns out we've all been enslaved under the yoke of some pastry cased hegemony.

Considering a full on flounce at this point. I'll probably get over it though.

There was also some bike stuff in there too. Which was nice.

All in all a good job.

Finally - Confusion!.

WTF? why is this guy...
[img] [/img]

asking these guys....

a load of questions about mountain biking? ...and pyjamas?....and pies?

Perchy. This is LIBELLOUS! But you are far, far from the first to mention me and Nick Knowles in the same breath. Although your photo of Alex Horner (I believe) resembles art chap Rob much more than it resembles Mark...

[img] [/img]

And you are so, so wrong about pies. There's nothing wrong with a behatted casserole, but it's not a pie, and IT NEVER WILL BE
