What winter big is nearly wiping me out.
Basically started with dizzines, fatigue and fever low grade 38.1 to 38.8 on my Christmas day night shift and then felt a bit off up till New Years day. Then started with body aches and joint.pain like what started with civic but negative LFT
Central chest pain and wheezing started on 2nd ofJanuary till now.
No mucous to cough up, just wheezing and struggling to breath and total lack of.energy. Also pulse resting is 100+ temp not dropping below 38.3.
Work have told me.to stay off but will need sick note from Sunday, earliest Gp appointment is Friday. Blue inhaler has helped wheezin.
Have you had a flu jab this winter?
Sounds similar to my better half, except she has had crazy productive cough fits since last weekend, having to sleep on sofa to get any sleep. Breathless after cough fits. Ear pain, sore throat. Heart rate high 90s.
She hasn't had flu jab, I have. I don't have cough but am knocked out and aching, been in bed almost an hour. Heart rate high 50s.
Yes .
That describes my run up to Xmas...plus incredible tiredness after ...which I still have.
Docs assured me wasn't covid gave me some knock out migrain tabs and it the bulk of it passed within a week. Just can't get my heart rate up or I spew still 🙁
Exactly what I had the week before Christmas. Absolutely wiped me out, 6 days in bed which I have never done before. Decided to start work next week as I’m still feeling well below par although I did get out for a gentle pedal this afternoon.
No flu jab and negative LF test.
Edit- dosed up on paracetamol and ibuprofen with regular hot honey and lemon drinks. Keep warm and rest.
Get well soon!
Sounds very similar to my systems 2-3 weeks before Christmas, ended up spending 4 days in bed which was frustrating because I was "working" in Italy with nothing to do for 5 days with my road bike in the back of my van.
Took me a couple of weeks to recover.
I’ve had it rough since before Xmas and returned a COVID positive - head cold, generally bunged-up, snottiness and now a dry cough - first ‘cold’ in 3 years. Luckily hasn’t got to my chest - know people who’ve developed pneumonia from it.
Had Flu Jab last week of November on the 24th before my Annual leave.
Not had my Rona Booster 4 though.
Flu is Rampant through our A&E department both patients and staff.
Our ears Trauma Ortho one covid patient in side room, staff few covid, the rest of us this bugger.
Had Flu in the past and feels similar but not as bad feels like Bronchitis with covid level.
Add me to the list as well. same symptoms, same time scale. 4 weeks in and still completely wiped out. returning neg covid tests.
Anyone get a sizeable patch, approx a stretched out hand, of really sore floating ribs or muscles in their back during this lurgy?
Better half still having coughing fits like March '20 Covid but not quite so frequent (at least until ~0600 this morning), I've only had ~8 single short coughs in total in last two days but floored with fatigue and aching.
We've done multiple LFTs over the past week, all negative besides an incredibly feint positive from my better half on 30th Dec.
