Looking at getting my Dad a new watch.
He has Alzheimers, so finds complicated technology baffling and confusing.
Requirements:
- Digital or analogue
- NOT a Smar****ch
- Clear, easy to read display
- Displays the time on a traditional clock face, ideally with numbers 1 to 12 rather than HH:MM:SS (so, either real moving hands, or a digital clock display)
- displays day and date (but once set, it's set for life, ie you don't have to reset it every month depending on whether there are 28/29/30/31 days the previous month.
- Max budget £50
I've obviously tried googling, but just seem to get the same promoted search results, none of which seem to satisfy my criteria (or don't contain enough information in the listing to be able to tell.)
Appreciate its probably quite a specific set of requirements, but if anyone has any suggestions?
Do they do watch/jeweller shops on the High Street these days ... been years since I really mooched around the city centre!

Alzheimer’s uk have a few on their web shop
I was going to suggest a timex easy reader.

Just done another search, and this one might do the trick - I’ve got a similar one I bought for my step-dad. It’s a nice clear easy to read face, and half your budget. Batteries last ages too.

Depending on how confused he gets with reading a clock face it might be worth looking at a watch with a talk function? https://shop.rnib.org.uk/house/clocks-and-watches/watches (not too many under £50 but most aren't much over).
High street is filled with jewellers shops - or most shopping centres are. Also - Argos.
How about a Lorus Men's Lumibrite for £25?

Or a Limit Easy Read for £8

That said, there are two sizes of watch face and you might be better looking at slightly bigger ones for clarity.
Edit - these don't have dates but they are often too small to be read, even by young eyes.
Might be worth searching out a Casio waveceptor so the radio signal always sets the time correctly (and maybe the date too?)
