with nothing to put on 'the last thing you made/repaired threads' it seems appropriate to start this with-

the wireless mouse stopped working.its only a cheap one, but i got a cheap wired one this time as i need one that works on my old pc etc as well

the keyboard stopped working. again that was cheap, but it was backlit wireless mini keyboard and it lasted a year or two.I really liked teh size, but the battery wouldnt charge any more and i couldnt see anything inside that looked easy to fix.

The shower head started leaking a lot more.It had a few o rings inside but its only a few quid for a new one so i didnt wanna waste time cleaning and greasing it back together since the plastic had cracked too

thats about it for last week or so.

Honestly i cant believe how so many things stop working

Well didn't break it, but the pull light switch with in the main bathroom again. They seem to work reliably for about a year. Often it's just the string that snaps right by the rotating contact mechanism, but this time a bit inside had snapped so had to replace it.
Also I'm just going to go and pick up a new shower head bracket for the ensuite. It's been glued a couple of times and bodged with zipties, but it's really broken this time. Also not by me.

I managed to crack my little toe on the corner of the bed, it folded the toenail over backwards. Cut most of the toenail off, but there's a jagged piece left sticking up and snagging on my socks. I'm going to be a socks with sandals guy for a while, wearing shoes is not fun.

Living room door handle. Part of the mechanism sheared off and it came off in my hand. When I took it off yesterday it was full of bits or shattered steel and iron fillings so bought another few to replace all the ones downstairs so no one gets locked in anywhere.

My big toe on the stair gate. Just as the wife is away for for the weekend and I have a two year old, two dogs and her horse to look after. Let's just say I've been hammering the ibuprofen. PXL_20231103_233750810

Super glue and build it up round the snaggle nail. To smooth the edge.

Intact I would probably paint the whole manky nail bed as it's mega at protecting exposed sensitive bits.
