I harped on about it for years after watching it as s much younger person, sadly watching it again I thought it badly acted & a bit...well, dull.
Vanishing Point ended with the Car versus Bulldozer interface. 😯
Definitely [i]Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry[/i], the last thing you hear is the girl scream as the car hits the train.
In [i]Vanishing Point[/i], the car runs into two big bulldozers parked across the road, with the sun directly behind so the driver is blinded by it and can't see the dozers.
Saw both in the cinema, along with [i]ElectraGlide In Blue[/i], another film where the lead comes to a sticky, unfortunate end.
