There was a film i saw on the telly, years ago. About the 'survivors' of a plane crash in the desert. In fact they were all ghosts, at the end, their bodies were found and the ghosts disappeared, until there was only one ghost left. He has survived the crash and walked away and died later, so his body wasn't found and he was then left on his own.

Hmm, remember the film.

Sure one of the actors was in Cool Hand Luke, think he was called Kennedy.
Will keep looking

Quick Google search would suggest a lot of other people are trying to answer the same question.

IIRC the plane was a B25 and the last ghost was that of the tail gunner, who's body was under the plane.

Movie plane crash desert ghosts.

Think I was wrong about George Kennedy, he was in 'Flight of the Phoenix'.

Will try and watch 'Sole Survivor' later, seems to be the best guess so far.

Wasn't Richard Baseheart an old bloke survivor who comes back to the plane years later and was responsible for the crash.......Or summut?

Nice thread! I can vaguely remember watching this years ago and have from time to time struggled to work out what it was. I think I've been trying (admittedly not very hard) for about 10 years.

As others on the answerpool and various other threads I've read state, I was sure that the crew members DIDN'T realise that they were dead 'till near the end of the movie.

However, as there doesn't seem to be any other similar films about, I guess it must just be my memory playing tricks on me.

It was about 35 years ago after all. 😀

Does anyone have a link to a better quality video than the youtube version?
