We have a huge number of remotes in use for cranes/doors/magnetic & vacuum lifting beamsand want to document the frequency of each remote - what bit of kit do I need? A spectrum analyzer seems OTT...
Is it not labelled on the remote somewhere? The 2 RF remotes I have on my keyring have it on them (433MHz)

Unfortunately not
Should be labelled ,but an oscilloscope should do it. Old school. 🙂
Got an intern or work experience kid in?
As usual questions about the questions...
Why do you want to know? Is it interference or things controlling the wrong bit of kit? If it's a safety thing I'd want a very robust test and a process to deal with any issues before starting!!
My first pass would be to get the instructions/specs for each bit of kit and get it from there.

Yeah we have summer students starting soon enough so it's on the list of work for them to carry out. Its an interference thing.
Raspberry Pi and Software-Defined radio receiver:

That one only seems to go up to 1.8GHz, so won't help if any of your remotes are using the 2.4GHz band (which is possible if they are Bluetooth or 802.11, but then you can probably pick them up with a wifi dongle).

I shouldn't get too hung up about interference.
Each will have its own channel and code.
Or do you really have an interference issue?
Are the configurable or fixed?
If the latter, it should be on the label, if configurable you'll need to talk to them to get the channel.
