My best mates dad has just passed away , and whilst I feel a spare part I’d like to just knock up a hamper of some treats to take around to cheer him up.
I’ve got his favourite beer, teabags , crunchies and choc hob nobs!
Any other general things to pop in?
Cheers
Coke and hookers
A kitten.
Crisps. A book/DVD or two that might give him some distraction during this tough time.
His wife may not be pleased with the hookers. But you never know....
I don't think you need to cheer him up.
But i do think you going round to drink those beers with him* will be absolutely mean alot.
*Leave to poor bloke the biscuits etc though.
Also take some pizza to chuck in the oven.
I’d always go with a couple of frozen meals - curry, chilli that kind of thing...
Stunt kite.
Time. Listening and time, lots of both.
As above, pop round with a 6 pack and some pizza for a chat.
Actually.
Stuntkite is inspired. Down the beach with the beers.
Make a bit pot of his fav stew/curry/chilli and portion it up into meals so it’s an easy freezer dinner choice, and include a bottle of Balvenie Doublewood and medjool dates as they pair well together
Chrust somafunk he's going round to console his mate not get laid...
Oh god, when I saw the thread title I was going to suggest lube, but thankfully I read the OP.
You can’t put time in a hamper. But as above, give him some of that.
Big bag of ectos.
Cats on catnip.
A bike ride.
Cheers folks, some good suggestions including the lube!
Put some bike mags in, sweet treats and beers in.
We went for a decent ride, then got trollied. 😀
Time. Tea. Kites. Piss-taking and general camaraderie.
Still with the kite thing. Really. I would put in some coffee , maybe some old school sweets, some millionaire shortbread, nice fruit cake
Know anyone who has a silly affable cockapoo? My parents cockapoo introduces herself to everyone as if they are a dearly loved long lost relative. She should have been a therapy dog.
Big bag of ectos.
