We're moving house soon. When we leave here we'll have a 6 week spell in Belfast then probably a couple of different rental properties while we search for a house to buy.
What should we do about registering our cars & driving licenses at this time? I don't want to get fines or wreck our insurance. All the guidance I've found has been for uni students and sort of implies a permanent address that we'd return to. I also don't want to pay 3 loads of admin fees for each car.
Anyone done something similar and have advice?
Interesting question. Found this. It seems that an address they can contact you at is acceptable. But also note that NI licenses are different to GB.
I moved about a lot 15-20yrs ago and just left everything at my parents address. Never had any trouble from the DVLA over it, but told the insurance where I was actually living
NI driving licence advice...

Doesn't seem to be any different to many other countries, licence can be changed to match your V5 address, why is it a worry?
If you're dealt with by NI Police directly then you may need an address for service of summons, EDIT but again your V5 address as DVLA suggest from Greybeard's link.
Penalty points and disqual from NI apply in GB https://www.justice-ni.gov.uk/articles/fixed-penalties-and-legislative-changes-northern-ireland so no practical differences
THanks for the advice everyone.
