I've got a tent that I no longer need, it's a 1 man/2 at a push backpacking tent and is perfectly useable. Just wondering if there's any charities etc for homeless people who I can donate it to? Not worth selling, so figured I'd try and do something useful with it before I take it to the tip.

Cheers 🙂

Give it to my son to use for his adventures? Happy to pay postage...

I'll join the line if your willing to post....
I run the Duke of Edinburgh Award at my school with very little funding. Always looking for equipment partially tents to practise with.

Good question!
I have an old family-size tent looking for a new home. Vaude, something like this:

A bit like jay little, we would use tent and local BB's would benefit....

We're in Dunblane. If folk are closer, or group who would really use, then pass on to them.

Any local scouts troop would probably be interested.

Sell it to channel 4, £23m, they get a bargain....

I'd echo the above. Any tent that could be carried would likely be welcomed by a school DofE group. Any big car camping tent would be welcomed by the Scouts.

Leave it at Glastonbury for someone else to deal with?

It was offered to the local scouts, but they didn't respond (yes, they definitely read my message).
So it's now going to a good home in Dunblane.
Thanks for starting this thread, Andy.

Glad it got a good home and didn't end up at the tip.
