I've got a few days in Malaga with my wife and adult son coming up in October, what are the must see attractions?

The fish market is a great place to eat and watch the world go by highly recommended. Some good cycle tours of the city I did a modern culture one round the graffiti and pointing out best tapas bars etc good insight into what the locals do.
Picasso museum is rubbish unless you like Picasso a lot.
Good haman to chill out, relax in.

Get the bus to Nerja and have a swim . Hire a dutch bike and head east for sardines and beer in the wee seaside villages . Do the Malaga FC tour , or just take a walk up the Alcazaar and have some tapaas on the way down. Malaga is a nice wee city but most people head west towards Fuengirola and Marbella.

The cathedral is nice, good views from the roof. The alcazaba is worth a wander up to too.

The market is brilliant. Buzzing with life when we went on a Saturday. Have lunch nibbles with vermouth like the locals, sampling all the wonderful fresh seafood from the little bars.

Agreed, Casa Aranda for breakfast. Then pick up the hire car and drive to Tarifa for a few days windsurfing.
Or is that just me?

"Picasso museum is rubbish unless you like Picasso a lot."

Eh?

It's ace, get a guide. Plus there's a Roman archeological dig in the basement. Under that there's a Phoenician one.

+1 for the Dutch bike rental heading east around the lighthouse

Drinks at the rooftop bar in the Hotel Molina Lario with views overlooking the cathedral and harbour

High speed train up to Cordoba takes an hour where you can see the Mezquita which is seriously impressive

Another one for the market, lovely Pil Pil at the top left hand side.
La Taberna del Pintxo Larios for tapas/pintxos been going years never had a bad one.
Bus up the coast, Torre Del Mar is 30 mins away and nice (not British)
Drinks on the rooftop bar at El Corte Ingles.
Port & Beach are nice for a stroll.
Cordoba & Granada are linked by train (just over an hour) and both are as nice & chilled.

Enjoy!
