You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
I know it is only Thursday but it gives you longer to find something fun for me to do at the weekend.
Who has got what planned?
Do weekends still exist? As a key worker, I'm working when needed regardless. The wife isn't working currently so doesn't know what day of the week it is.
I work from home so for me, yes. Monday to Friday are work and the weekend is not.
I have now completed all the essential tasks and non-essential ones like the sea horse.
Looking for stuff to occupy myself which won't enhance the risks to my 'in the raised risk group' wife.
Keep up your good work, it is appreciated
Yes they do exist
They are the days you don't have to do two full days of work in one day, alongside entertaining/educating/feeding two children.
We generally rest.
Well after my night shift tonight I've got 10 days off to fill so looking at this thread for inspiration! Got some Lego to build, a small amount of bike servicing to do and I suppose I could clean the flat for the bazillionth time this month but after that I'm stumped. I'll be doing my daily ride in the morning and a Zwift session in the evening most days (need a rest day in there somewhere) and I've managed to fix the PS3 so I can play on that for a while but other than that I'll be bouncing off the walls trying to avoid the crap on the news, facebook and twitter.

Yep same for me to, I haven't had a weekend since the middle of March. I'm pasty white and my car looks like a mobile wheetabix.
Well, for me, it’ll be a long run and then some daytime drinking whilst Mrs Lunge is at work.
I may, but only may mow the lawn.
Bike ride? Look on os maps app for a new walk in your local area? Bbq or go all out and do yourself a fakeaway. With time on my hands i looked up how to recreate the kebab shop experience lamb and chicken sheish kebabs with garlic sauce, chilli sauce, all the salad trimmings plus chips. It was fun and delicious. Zoom board game with mates.. We've done trivial pursuits and pictionary, or just have a zoom piss up with your pub mates.
I'm going to clean the bathroom. Yes, that's how exciting it's going to get.
A couple of on-road bike rides nearer 20 miles than the 10 mile ones I do.
Return some 510s to CRC.
Return some defective guitar batteries.
BBQ with the three other guys at the house and maybe the landlord and landlady who also live here.
Take something apart that doesn't need taking apart.
Practise a lot more guitar.
Try to program some better sounds for future gigs.
Drink.
Cook.
Eat.
go dig some jumps!
3hr drive to the beach or lakes, not made up mind which to travel to for my hours allowed exercise before I fire up the BBQ with a few mates.
Or go for first ride after 14 days isolation
Hope you’re trolling (read it again, clearly joking) RD...
Me, same weekend as they’ve been for last month or so: minge about on Saturday, fixing bikes, watching old video tapes and the highlight of my week (if I don’t **** it up and crash again) go for ride (from the doorstep) into the South Downs, with DezBjr.... Only thing keeping me sane.
What do you NORMALLY like to do on a weekend? You can still do a lot of things!
Exercise - bike ride / walk / run / yoga / stretch /whatever
Cook something complicated and time consuming
Read / watch TV/ play computer games / do puzzles / jigsaw / paint / draw / model
Sunbathe, maybe read whilst sunbathing
Chat to your other half
Speak to friends and family on facetime etc
DIY or other house type project
Cleaning
You know, all the stuff you don't have time for in the week cos of pesky work 🙂

WCA, finish/frame my painting? 😜😘
non-essential ones like the sea horse
Well, granted you may have completed that but to be honest, until you've free-carved the next one with a chainsaw, ... meh
I've still a bunch of stuff in the garden. New concrete steps. Small retaining wall. Dig over about 20m2 of rocky soil.
My birthday on Saturday, and discovered that one of my favourite cafés is now doing takeaway coffee, so I'm having a solo birthday cafe ride. And then having our first takeaway since lockdown. And daughter has promised me chocolate muffins with Lindt balls inside.....
Still stuff to tidy in the garden. And need to top up the gunk in the tubeless tyres on the Arkrose.
Saturday morning it will be a dog walk and hoping the wind is down so I can play table tennis in the yard with my youngest as I have to be out of the house and this keeps us well above the 2m apart. If it's windy we'll be sat in the yard chatting, reading and I'll be quietly breaking my heart as I won't be able to keep her attention as long without the table tennis. Working sat afternoon through till 8am.
Sunday will be more of the same but hopefully with an afternoon snooze and hopefully a few evening beers in the garden with my middle one (who is also staying at the neighbour's with me)listening to some music and waiting till Monday brings the work treadmill back around.
Milland Hill and/or "Turkey Island" (Hill Lane in South Harting), depending on how my ankle feels tomorrow, been hobbling a bit today after upsetting it on yesterday's shift. Although surprisingly, it felt much better on a late pootle tonight than walking between rooms in the flat.
Going for a ride - yes, obviously
Finish Matt's painting - I added some bluebells and I think it is done. Struggling to think of the summer version but Autumn is sorted for colour and structure
Freehand chainsaw carving - I do have a chain saw and one railway sleeper left so what do I sculpt?
dig some jumps - Southampton Bike Park is running sweet with new features added over the last few weeks, mainly down to Luis s rather than me
dogs/children - don't have and don't want, same with running (only one ankle stops that anyway)
Sitting and boozing - I am in the British Olympic Team as many will confirm but I still need to do something before breakfast
