I was out for a run today and found this on the trail.
It is about 11cm long not really aggressive or defensive and was happy in shallow water and over rocks.
Anyone know if it is an actual "thing" or maybe the lava of a "thing".

So far all I know it is not a baby robin, a cow or a lettuce and doesn't smell like strawberries.
Looks like a dragonfly larva, I'm no expert mind. You're here in Spain, right?
It's either a Mole Cricket or a baby robin.

Yes mogrim in Spain (forgot to mention that bit).
I thought they would be more aggressive and maybe not quite so big 8O. It was up a small mountain and there aren't any lakes or even a pond up there. There was lots of streams though due to all the rain we have had.
EDIT. Mole Cricket it must be,[i] Gryllotalpa gryllotalpa[/i]?, though it was about 11 cm long not the 3cm or 4cm on wiki

I love mole cricket. Sweeeettt! Perfectly harmless.
As a kid I used to catch them with my hands while they tried to burrow through. Kind of ticklish but can be painful with the very strong ones.
