I'm finally moving to live on my own after years of shared living and need to buy myself my own TV. I want something decent but don't want to spend a fortune on the biggest bestest fanciest thing out there. I have my bikes for that 😉

So do I go for plasma, LED or what? I'm not a big film watcher - just regular TV and the odd MTB DVD so I don't need a huge screen or surround sound etc - I'll run the TV through my hi-fi for that. I probably only watch around 8-10 hours of TV a week.

And how much do I need to allow budget-wise??

I got a half decent 720p 32" for £200 (that was a good deal mind) 3 years ago... still fine for me today. I've used bigger/1080p panels etc and whilst they are better, I'd not spend the extra on them.

£300 would get you something nice about 32"

We just got a 37" Plasma from Comet £400 in store but buy on line (with discount code you have to find before end of August) and you get another 10% off.
