As of tomorrow I’m on Furlough so to treat myself I’m looking for some indoor footwear. Smart and sophisticated (like me) and natural materials to avoid sweaty hoofs
Decent tread in case I do a longer run up to the bins or even as far afield and down to the shed

Any recommendations?

North face tent mules. They might be a bit warm come the summer but great right now.

Slippers

I love mine, so comfortable & don't stink like every other type of slipper I have had.

Cheers.

A pair of moccasins (without a sole), heaven for your feet.

+1 had mine for years, fine in summer/all year round. Wore through the sole material but still fine for getting stuff from the car etc

Half price on TNF. {thread closed}

Going for a variation on a theme - Rab Hut Slippers.

My TNF mules started to wear through on the soles after four years. Rab's are still going strong at similar age. I still got 8 years in total out of the mules but the last four have just been for paddling about for logs and coal outside. Just can't bring myself to own crocks.

Birkenstock felt clogs so you can pop outside to correct wood or polish the Audi

If you're a power slipper user, get a pair of crocs. Cheap, comfy, indestructible, just get the job done. They'll still be going strong when your boutique slippers are fraying at the seams.

As a Villa fan I'm tempted by the Jack Grealish look. One black slipper, one white slider (me neither).

My slippers are a pair of Merrel leather sandals, worn with socks obviously 🙂

Another vote for North Face Tent Mules. I now feel disgruntled if I have to take them off to leave the house.

I see someone has suggested Crocs

Just NO!

Similar to ugg, real suede with real sheepskin lining and sock, much lower price.

They make good shoes as well for the money 🙂

+1 on Sorel

Ours have way outlasted the (multiple) North Face mule things. You can get them with backs on and all have proper rubber soles.

Traction mules better than tent mules - proper rubber soles

My Gumbies are the only slippers I've owned that have lasted more than a year. I work from home so basically live in them, and they have a decent sole with a tread so I'll do stuff like putting the bins out in them too.

Just NO!

Like I said, Crocs are not for everyone. I'm a power slipper user, so cheap, comfy, indestructible are my criteria.
