Chicken breast wrapped in bacon served with rice and green peas.

I usually wrap up some fresh pesto but haven't got any and need to improvise.

Any suggestions?

Maybe make a blue cheese sauce, maybe a bit of chicken stock and white wine with some mushrooms and shallot simmered in (dried mushrooms if you like) and add a dollop of cream at the end.

Tabasco...

Refound my love of this recently (and now have it for breakfast over my homemade baked beans and a couple of poached eggs)

Some nice barbecue sauce, not the sticky sweet stuff tho.

Whilst Mr Molgrips suggestion is very tempting. I'd just Like to suggest gravy. Nothing fancy. Just Bisto gravy. Thick.

What BigJohn said or something similar. Just make a white sauce based on a roux, you could use milk rather then cream if you want to be healthier. White wine to give it a bit of a tang. Loads of parsley in it is nice too.
