hi lads/lasses, by chance anyone discovered a route from midlands to brighton without going M25 and a bit quicker (time wise)? I usually do from M40 to M25 to M23 going Brighton (Satnav Fastest Route)... but the M25 took an hour (give or take) of my time just moving in silly really slow speed 😐

Still probably quicker. I can't think of any way you'd beat the M25 for time.

Depends what time you do the journey, you will struggle to find a quicker route going straight through the middle between the M40 and M23.

M40, A34, then any one of your choice to brighton from there.
Whilst not technically quicker than the M25 - it avoids a load of the bottle necks

Used to travel from Wycombe to Brighton semi regularly a few years back and M40 - M25 - M23 is the only viable route. Even at this time of the evening Google is predicting 1h 55m for M25 vs 2h 35m for cross country.
