I need to buy a ginormous roof box for camping with my family in my long wheel base T4.

Does anyone have any experience with this seller?

What are the hazards of not going with a name like Thule? Is it worth the risk?

I should add, for the sake of bumping this back to the top, that my wife is counting on your advice.

I wouldn't buy one that attached with U-Bolts again, pain in the arse to put on and take off regularly.

I had one like that and agree that putting it on and off with bolts was a big pain.

Also, the hinges on mine were quite flimsy and one broke so i had to prop the lid open with a stick.

It was massive though and could fit loads of stuff in it.
I only stopped using it because I got a new car which was too tall for me to reach the roof box on.

give the guys at http://www.roofbox.co.uk/ a call. very helpful and free exchange if you dont get on with the first box you order. i'm very happy with my kamei huskey - its the bottom of the range one and so uses u-bolts but they hold in place without bolts on so its pretty easy to fit.
you'll probably have space for 2 decent sized boxes on the top of a van which might give more flexibility than one large one??
