In past years I just used Facebook for holding holiday snap albums however I use that platform less & less. Now looking at another way of keeping photos and looking at getting them printed into a book.

Is there any real differentiation between Asda / Tesco / Photobox or a.n.other supplier...? The majority of the photos are taken by either go-pro of phone camera so not exactly top notch photography...

Who have you used in past ?

The wife does a book each year, just after Chrimbo, as Boots usually have a decent offer on. I think it's through Photobox but always really pleased with the quality/price and you can add pages etc to make them personal.

Bonus Print for me. Used for a long time. Always very pleased with the quality. Needed to contact their customer service once and they were excellent.

I wasn't even aware that the high street printers did photobooks. I have used both the Apple service and more recently Blurb to create photobooks. Blurb is an excellent service and a lot cheaper than Apple's if you select the cheaper options (and a lot more expensive if you opt for high quality paper).

The down side is that you need to create the book yourself and it takes a little time the first time you do it (as you have to figure out the software). But the results are excellent, easily as good as a book sold in a shop (well as good as you are at layout and type setting etc at least).

I don't know for sure, but I would imagine there is a very big difference in the finished items from Blurb and the other high street printers. Whether or not you want that difference is up to you.

If you're patient, the gifting industry is moving into what is called 'peak' where there will be some very aggressive discounts being rolled out across various products.

Within the next week or so you can expect to see various deals start to pop up.

I've just order one from freeprints photobooks - am interested to see what the quality is like - 20 x 8x6 (I think) in a book for £5.99 - the idea you just pay postage...
