Long story short, my partners cockapoo was hit by a driver. Her leg is broken in two places. And the treatment is costing a small fortune. Our health plan for her doesn't cover for accidents like this. Can anyone recommend a good pet insurance? (I'm not expecting it to cover us retrospectively.)

Petplan. Not the cheapest but considering they paid out 23k for my dog from 2014-2023 without any hassle whatsoever (or upfront payments) they get my recommendation.

Sorry to hear about the dog. Hope it makes a full recovery.

Got my cat insured from M and S, saved me more than £2500 last year. The whole process of claiming was easy.

Bought by Many who are now ManyPets are our current insurer.

How old is the dog?

Bear in mind any future complications from the break will not be covered by the new company.

I went with Purely Pets this year as it was a 1/4 of what M&S wanted for the same cover.
