I only ever look at this one but I'm beginning to suspect that there might be a whole other world out there. Enlighten me! 🙂

My curiosity is fighting with my better judgement about googling that.

I don't think I use any other forums regularly. Rather, I'll use them for specific purposes as needed, XDA-Devs if I need a phone ROM for instance.

I suppose Mono might count, though it's not really a forum, it predates such things.

Pistonheads for my sins.

I have a funny relationship with it - I joined about 10 years ago now I think because it was good for business, I was working for a finance company and specialised in £40k+ cars and touting for work online was revolutionary (for us) back then.

But I left that industry 6 years ago and still keep hanging around there and I don't know why - there's a good and sometimes hilarious cycling section, it's mostly Road based which I don't do, but the people who run the site are actually pretty pro-cycling so when the inevitable "I hate cyclists" thread starts it get punted to the pedal powered section for a mauling.

But really it's a total den of arseholes, arrogant, self-serving arseholes - if you believe them (and personally I think 80% of them are full of shit) they're all rich public schoolboys whose political leanings are somewhere between Nigel Farage and Nick Griffin. The News section is particularly bad, I've never read such mean spirited, cynical crap in my entire life, some views on there can only come from the minds of someone who was badly tortured as a child - they're all surprisingly insecure for such supposedly wealthy, successful people.

But I can't help myself, I try to pitch in sometimes and offer a more balanced, positive spin, but it just fells like trolling sometimes.

There is a motorcycle forum that I frequent that is a right hoot, no swear filter and the banter is good and harmless.

This place could learn a thing or two from them.

A motorcycle forum with no Mods is a bit odd. Do they not cover scooters at all?

He's here all week folks, try the fish.

I used to spend a fair bit of time on Arrse, but have reigned that in. Otherwise it's here, Full-bore and the VW T5 forum really.

I imagine that has its benefits. No fear of being banned as a previously banned user returning under a different name, as a random example.

Thing is, is that over on the UK KTM forum, it's all just harmless banter like mentioned, I'm pretty sure the MODS are from the USA and have other forums to monitor.

I think it was a chap called Seth who is the site owner in fact...

edit) DRAC: thing with that though is that there are many folk on here with a finger in their ass and generally a cynical attitude towards others and other viewpoints. It's been seen on here all too many times.

Usually just here. I do venture onto MBR but nowhere near as much as I used to.

Used to be on minifinity and theminiforum a lot but as I no longer have one it's a bit pointless going on.
