Medjool dates go exceedingly well with a suitable toffee flavoured malt

No ernie, the whisky goes in the porridge. I have always hankered after something quite salty. Perhaps pretzel crisps.

I think the roasted venison haunch has it so far.
(although I can see how some nice toast would work with whisky too)

Definitely chocolate. Pop a bit into your mouth, then take a sip of whiskey at the same time. Absolutely divine. It is the ultimate experience.

I'll just finish this glass of Rioja.
Jura and chocolate? Are you sure?

Another vote for quality dark chocolate

Though soreen topped with butter and stilton or extra mature cheddar works very, very well too!

At the Dalwhinnie distillery they recommended Maltesers with theirs.
They were right!

Somafunk gets it correct for me ... Medjool dates.

I am a tad less refined, so always go the chili peanuts route.
From now on its medjool dates though. Pure sophisticated genius Somafunk.

Dark chocolate, or something palette cleansing like oatcakes. Quite partial to the odd lump of shortbread too.

Mmmm whisky...

I tried Sainsbury's Taste The Difference extra dark with a portion of Jura. It made me drink faster!
There ought to be a warning on chocolate wrappers! 😳
