Medjool dates go exceedingly well with a suitable toffee flavoured malt
No ernie, the whisky goes in the porridge. I have always hankered after something quite salty. Perhaps pretzel crisps.

Another vote for quality dark chocolate
Though soreen topped with butter and stilton or extra mature cheddar works very, very well too!
At the Dalwhinnie distillery they recommended Maltesers with theirs.
They were right!
Somafunk gets it correct for me ... Medjool dates.
I am a tad less refined, so always go the chili peanuts route.
