Thanks to my dearly beloved putting my phone through on a 40°C synthetic cycle, I need a new mobile.
Needs to be a phone first and foremost. Not an MP3 player, or a web browser or a pda or a games machine. A phone. For talking to people with.
GOOD battery life - Ideally best part of a week in normal use.
Reasonably tough - no moving parts, no touch screens, can cope with being dropped occasionally or getting mildly damp.
Other functions - alarm clock and basic scientific calculator a necessity. Camera less so. Wouldn't complain if I can get my email forwarded to it, but not too fussed if I can't. Fairly fast operating system would be nice - I hate having to wait while it thinks about things.
Oh, and ideally free or very cheap. (I'd also like a moon on a stick please)
Any ideas? I've pretty much always had Nokias as the operating system used to be pretty good, however some of the newer ones have been less impressive. (best phone I've had was a Nokia 6320i as a point of reference).
Thanks!
