I'm determined to take my DSLR out on the hills alot more often this year and want to bolster the limited kit I have with a new lens. Currently I have the 18/55 kit lens which is ok, a 50mm prime which shows up the kit lens and I've just got myself a decent tripod. I have a load of other bits and bobs, wide angle screw on, some filters and a remote release.
So what size of lens have you found handy for shooting bike stuff? Any recommendations particularly for the D3100? What do you take in your pack when you go biking?
the Nikon 18-200 VR f3.5-f5.6 lens I have on a Nikon body makes a nice single lens for most bike stuff. Long time since I've bothered taking it out with me though but it's on my 2015 to do list.
