Pook #3 arrived on Sunday and me and Mrs Pook are getting into the rhythm of her getting as much kip as possible between feeds. As such, I'm on very early mornings and early evenings with nothing much to do other than cause advocacy mayhem or watch Netflix.
Tastes are wide ranging. What's hit home with you recently?
Congratulations on your third child you poor, unsuspecting fool!
edit: might be your first. No matter. You still have no idea of the chaos that awaits.
Currently enjoying The Tick on Amazon Prime.
The Marvel stuff is quite good on the Netfix except Iron Fist which isn’t
Happy! Is bonkers but excellent
congrats!
Wu assassins
the girl with all the gifts
the boys
the seven deadly sins
The Boys, amazon, really good.
Wu assassins is on the list.
Congratulations
Mindless stuff for early morning.
Rick and Morty
F is for Family
Big mouth
Happy!
Wu Assasins is awful.
Barkley Marathons on Netflix - mesmerizingly brilliant, and the sleep deprivation will strike a chord too.
Archer (the earlier seasons are glorious)
Happy! is great.
Brooklyn 99 is probably my all time favourite sitcom.
I know this isn't what you asked for, but when I was on those night shifts, I watched The Hollow Crown. Christ knows how I kept my concentration on that!!
Anyway, last season OITNB just available so if you've not already watched that there's plenty to go at.
Season 10 of Archer is out now.
Second Brooklyn 99
Final Space
Rick and Morty
Invader Zim: Enter the Florpus is out tomorrow (if you ever watched the original series)
And on another tangent, Maniac.
If you don’t mind subtitles, there’s loads of good Scandia/European crime noir series:
The Break
Border Town
Borderliner
Dead Wind
Dark
La Mante
The Frozen Dead
The Forest
Black Spot
The Chalet
I’ve just started Fallet which is more of a spoof of the above, but seems promising.
I watched breaking bad with my youngest daughter when she was a baby and wouldn't sleep.... Only problem is I think she's subconsciously absorbed Tuco Salamanca's character. She's only 4 and has already said she's going to bite my nose off and cut my head off!
We've just finished Mindhunter Season 1, highly recommended!
Happy
&
Little Lunch.
Congrats!
I another vote for Archer S10.....although I've just watched the latest episode, and I'm a bit worried I've just seen the final one 🙁
I'm watching "Flack" at the moment - its like Ray donavan (also very good) but set in London and less bleak.
Looking at my Plex stats tells me that I mostly watch Peter Rabbit and Go Jetters
Wu Assasins is awful.
yip.
The boys is decent.
Preacher has just started again.
Preacher has just started again.
That is great news, I enjoyed the previous seasons.
Rick and Morty, Brooklyn 99 and GLOW are all good for when you don't want to concentrate massively.
Stranger things is very enjoyable, so I'd recommend that.
If you want to concentrate on something then Ozark, and Dark are good.
Dark is a German missing person thriller involving time travel, it is very good, but you need to be on the all and paying attention.
Has Archer picked up again? Stopped watching someway through the Vice episodes, wasn't as sharp as earlier seriesesssess.
Just started Brooklyn 99 last night. Very good!

+1
First few seasons were excellent, then just seemed to run out of ideas....
It has, past series 3ish it lost its way
The Ballad of Buster Scruggs
For a bit of food pr0n
- The mind of a chef
- Ugly delicious
- Anthony Bourdain Parts Unknown
Blown Away - Canadian glass blowing competition
We’ve just finished Mindhunter Season 1, highly recommended!
Season 2 just landed today!
I'm currently binge watching The Staircase. Brilliant courtroom documentary with twist after twist. Don't scroll down the list of episodes though as there's a bit of a spoiler.
Not a series, but the documentary movie The Dawn Wall, is well worth the watch.
Another vote for Manhunter.
When They See Us - a bit stressful, but absorbing stuff.
Season 2 of Mindhunter seems to have arrived in Netflix - finally!
The Nitro Circus film is pretty decent (it dates back to 2012 I think but I only recently noticed it on Netflix), assuming adults doing reckless stuff entertains you...
I found the gentle background engine hum of Star Trek Next Generation great for getting our daughter back off to sleep. Problem is I'd then stay up for another 30 minutes to see the how Geordi reconfigured their space phasers to attack the some kind of quantum flux energy field.

Just to say - do not watch this. Don’t start ep 1, because you’ll want to know what happens and it’s the most upsetting, miserable, depressing thing I’ve ever watched.
Don’t say I didn’t warn you!
