Calling computer hardware buffs:
I don't really need to watch live telly. I'm happy enough with iPlayer and other internet-based stuff. So I'm chucking our enormous secondhand CRT telly and I want to hang a simple monitor on the wall, to plug into my laptop.
I've tried looking at different monitors, but I don't really understand the differences between them
- Half-decent size but not enormous. Perhaps 23"? 27"?
- Something that's good enough for TV and films, but I don't need elite perfection - I'm no home cinema bore
- Something that will accept the VGA from my Mac, but also the one from my girlfriend's fairly antique Dell
- I don't mind paying for something that will last, but I'm not made of money, so if it costs over £200, I'll need to have a good reason
- Something subtle that will hang on the wall. No bling.
Any tips?
