Wife is dragging me off to London from March 4 to March 20. She's hauling me to a bunch of museums, so for payback I'd like to take her to a football match. Can't really afford Chelsea at Arsenal.
Are there any others you recommend?
Dulwich Hamlet
Bit smaller than your suggestions, but we rented near there and the area is lovely, good pubs etc. Matches get a decent crowd
You're there for 16 days? Get out of London and watch a match. Train to Cambridge, wander across the common, localish derby against Northampton on 9th March will be quite a good atmosphere.
Or go left field and watch Dulwich or Clapton who are sticking it to the man.
PL games over that period
Palace v Luton
Arsenal v Brentford
WHU v Bumley
Chelsea v Toon
Arsenal v Chelsea
Palace v Toon
Fulham v Spurs
WHU v Villa
The profile games / derbies will be hard to get tickets for, not sure about eg: WHU or Palace though.
Dulwich Hamlet not a bad shout - not sure why but they've become a fashionable team and supposedly a pretty good atmosphere for non-league.
You'll struggle to get tickets for any Premier league game. Sign up as a club member (this is free at spurs) and check the ticket office news for when General sale happens for a game, if it reaches it.
Or go to Leyton orient, Charlton, qpr, Millwall..... i favour the Os, dad was a season ticket holder.
Brentford I think is always fantastic. Such a lot of character, and a real in London feel.
Wimbledon? You mean mk dons? Mk..... Milton Keynes.
My best advice would be to go watch a game of Rugby instead.
Leicester are playing Salarysins at their plastic place in Barnett. (Pity its against those cheating scum and not Quins, but still preferable to diveball.
Wimbledon? You mean mk dons? Mk….. Milton Keynes.
No, Wimbledon. The phoenix club, that went down as far as the ninth tier, playing villages and have rebuilt on the support of proper fans to be a league 2 side.

if you cant get premier league tickets then I have been to both Wimbledon and Sutton.
Wimbledon is a bit more pleasant, nice new stadium and a bit closer to central london. Sutton reminds me more of going to matches as a kid in the early 90s
Depends what your wife would be keen on, if you go to wimbledon you could head upto wimbledon village after, lots of nice pubs and restaurants.
Go to a WSL match? Went to Chelsea v Man U at Stamford Bridge, good atmosphere, no aggro and easy to get tickets.
Leyton Orient would be another option. Consider getting a ticket in the away end, the away fans are there for a day out and the atmosphere can be better
I had time to kill in London a few years ago and went to a QPR vs Forrest match and enjoyed the day, so might be worth looking at lower leagues as a better chance of tickets. I see QPR vs Middlesbrough is on the 9th
Wimbledon? You mean mk dons?
Why would I write Wimbledon if I meant MK dons? A different entity and the plough lane ground is around the corner from me so I’m fairly sure it’s in London
Fulham actually have a couple of blocks neutral section behind the goal. It's adjacent to the away fans though so possible spurs fans will already have bought all the tickets. Fulham is a nice one to go to location wise, got tonnes of nice pubs around.
Great pubs in Leyton, the star, the technical, hit those and watch awful league 1 football at orient.
Charlton, also league 1. Drink at the o2 or in greenwich before hand.
West ham, you'll probably get tickets on the ticket exchange for the burnley or villa games
My best advice would be to go watch a game of Rugby instead.
Yes, do that. Then don't forget to post up to tell us how superior you are to us great unwashed.
Sorry kilo! I had it in my head the phoenix club had died a death hurts m years ago.
Fulham don't have a neutral section anymore. WSL games aren't necessarily that easy to get tickets for - Arsenal and Chelsea sell out - unless they are being held at the Premiership stadium.
EDIT: My daughter quite liked Brisbane Road, Tottenham Women play their home games there and she didn't get to hear Tijauna Taxi - someone had that as a user name on here once.
Brentford I think is always fantastic. Such a lot of character, and a real in London feel.
In the new stadium?
As already mentioned, tickets for Premier League games are hard to come by, but lower league games are just as good, atmosphere-wise. WSL is also a great call.
My best advice would be to go watch a game of Rugby instead.
But don’t forget to dress appropriately…

Rugby really has got little man syndrome as a sport hasn't it. It's very dull to watch which is it's fundamental problem
What are options to go see Fulham?
I guess it depends on the experience you want? Down to earth, genuine football with sensible ticket prices at somewhere like Leyton Orient or overpriced, souless stadiums with plastic fans.
17th march Chelsea are playing arsenal at Stanford bridge in the wsl. Tickets start at £12 or you could push the boat out for VIP experience.
It should be a great atmosphere, two teams fighting for league victory.
We've done the emirates stadium and Tottenham's for WSL and they are good day out
West Ham have two home games from the list above, pretty sure they only sell out for the biggest games, so you should be good for Burnley or Villa.
Double easy to get to, lizzy line to Stratford, loads of places to eat and a cheeky visit to the Olympic Velodome.... get yourself a track taster session !!
Have fun
If there is a WSL game at White Hart Lane that may well be a good shout... harder to get to and nothing around it unless you want your hair cut or fried chicken but the stadium is fantastic.

🤣

As much as I like rugby on TV - it's a shite game to watch live.
Unless the play is near where you are seated all you can see is a load of big blokes doing pile-on at the other end of the pitch! You just spend your time watching the ref to see what is happening! 🙂

To be fair, someone suggested watching QPR. Club rugby is in my view a better watch than International rugby where defences can often cancel each other out. Really enjoy my trips to the Stoop.
As a spurs fan, the comment above I find entirely accurate! Tottenham is one of the most deprived areas of London, its not a great place. The club are at its heart, generating and bringing a lot of money to the area and, hopefully, things will improve! The new white Hart Lane stadium is superb. Easiest way there is overground to whl Station but on a premier league match day its nice to walk the high road from seven sisters....a 20 minute walk. The stadium looms into view when half way there and dominates the skyline. The beer in the stadium is OK and not too badly priced. The food, not sure it's so good.
