Do you remember your learn-to-read books from primary school? What were they? And do you remember them fondly, or was reading the equivalent of toddler hell?

I had this series:

and remember enjoying it quite a bit. The main characters, aside from Mr Mugs himself, were Curt and Pat.

We had a series at school, I don't remember what it was called. I rattled through all the levels pretty quickly though 🙂

I never liked reading fiction until I was about 9 or so. People kept giving me kiddie books that had zero interest. I think Professor Branestawm was the first series I read, then Willard Price books, which my 2nd year juniors teacher told me about.
